On the 26th August 2016, 7 students took part in a Vectis Radio Workshop to learn more about he 4P’s course

Hi, my name’s Lucy and I live in Cowes. My interests vary greatly, including all sports (especially running) and I am lucky enough to be part of Medina Parkrun. The reasons for my interest in the 4 Ps programme is in the promoting aspect, I enjoy designing and advertising so am looking forward to experiencing this at Vectis Radio.

Hello Im Louis I come from the Isle Of Wight and live in Newport. I am 11 years old and am going to Medina. I like football and playing on the Xbox one. I enjoy going to the skate park. I support Liverpool, I’ve gone to about 5 matches. I own two pets, one cat and one kitten. When I’m older I would like to be a sports coach. The reason for this is because I am interested in sports.

Hello my name is Kaitlyn Mcfarlane, I am 11 years old and I live in Freshwater. I enjoy sporting activities such as Handball, Netball, Horse Riding and manny others. In September I am moving up to Cowes Academy which I cant wait to do. When I grow up I want to be a police dog handler, becuse I love trying to train my dog Pipper and she never listens to me unless I have a treat in my hand.

Hello my name is Iona-Mae, I’m 16 years old and live in Ventnor. I moved to the Island from Croydon some years ago and though the island doesn’t offer much for someone my age it has offered lots of oppotunities education wise and widlife wise. I love everything media based and hopefully when I go to university I’ll either be studying Media Studies, Journalism or English. I’ve done this workshop because I hope it will boast my confidence in not only speaking to others but also my confidence in my own skills in media.

hello my name is aydan sartin crowley i am 11 i am going to sandown bay and i live in newchurch , my interests are video gaming, archery , football , did i say gaming i’m pretty sure also i’m into comedy and telling abuch of jokes and a bunch of other stuff . in th 4p’s programme i am interested in mostly the electronics side .

Hi, i’m Thomas, soon ill be 15 at the end of August. I go to Christ the king college in newport. In my spare time i do dancing at Gillian cartwight school of dance and during term time every saturday i travel and train in london to inhance my dance technique. I have a cat who 2 years ago we rescued from cats protection. she’s 15 years old and has the same name as my sister, which was a coincidence.

Hi! My name is Jazz and I’m 21 years old. I live in Newport and I have a huge passion for Technology, graphic design and video gaming! I class myself as an islander, even though I was born and bred on the sunny isle, I grew up on the island and 20 years laters – I’m happily still here! I love the community spirit of the island, I enjoy involving myself with community events and working with people.
