What Is The 4P’s Project?
The 4Ps Project, also known as The 4Ps Training School, is a renowned initiative by Vectis Radio CIC. This free course, established in 2014 after a successful pilot in 2013, aims to empower young people on the Isle of Wight. It focuses on enhancing their confidence and communication skills, ultimately improving their life prospects. Tailored for individuals aged 11 to 19 (and up to 25 with additional needs), the program fosters inclusivity and addresses media interests, particularly in radio, providing potential pathways to industry careers.

Why 4Ps?
The 4Ps are the four main ingredients of radio:
- PRESENTING
- PRODUCING
- PODCASTING
- PROMOTING
Over 500 have so far benefited from the course, some have chosen to remain volunteering at Vectis Radio and have gone on to present or co-present their own shows. The course can be tailored to individual students needs. Some students have severe physical and/or mental complications that affect their day to day life. The course aims to help everyone at their own pace.
